Our Refund Policy is Simple

TimeCap does not offer refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks under any circumstances.

All payments of 100 XPR to create time capsules are final the moment the blockchain transaction is confirmed. This is not a policy choice—it is a fundamental technical limitation of blockchain technology.

Why No Refunds?

TimeCap operates on the XPR Network blockchain. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain:

  • It is permanently recorded and cannot be reversed, modified, or deleted by anyone.
  • The XPR tokens are immediately transferred to the TimeCap treasury account on-chain.
  • No person or organization (including TimeCap, its operators, developers, or the XPR Network) has the authority or technical ability to reverse the transaction.
  • This is how blockchain technology works—transactions are immutable and permanent by design.

What This Means for You

Before creating a capsule and submitting payment, you must:

  • Triple-check all details: recipient username, unlock date and time, message content, and image.
  • Understand that once submitted, nothing can be changed or undone.
  • Accept that your 100 XPR payment is gone forever and cannot be recovered for any reason.
  • Be certain you want to create the capsule before clicking the submit button.

No Refunds Will Be Issued For

We will NOT issue refunds or reversals for any reason, including but not limited to:

User Error

  • Wrong recipient username
  • Incorrect unlock time
  • Typos in message
  • Wrong image uploaded
  • Accidental submission

Change of Mind

  • No longer want the capsule
  • Changed your mind
  • Recipient relationship changed
  • Want to modify content
  • Want to cancel

Technical Issues

  • Lost wallet access
  • Forgot password
  • Service downtime
  • Browser compatibility
  • Network issues

External Factors

  • XPR price changes
  • Recipient never opened it
  • Regulatory changes
  • Legal disputes
  • Any other reason

Blockchain Transaction = Permanent

Important Technical Explanation:

When you approve a transaction in your WebAuth wallet, the XPR Network blockchain processes and confirms it within seconds. Once confirmed:

  • The transaction is recorded in a permanent, immutable blockchain ledger
  • Thousands of nodes worldwide validate and store a copy of this transaction
  • There is no "undo" button, "cancel" option, or "refund" mechanism
  • The cryptographic nature of blockchain makes reversal mathematically impossible
  • This permanence is the core feature of blockchain technology

Legal Protection

This no-refund policy is part of our Terms of Service and is enforceable under the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. By using TimeCap, you explicitly waive any right to:

  • Dispute charges or request chargebacks
  • Claim refunds from TimeCap or its operators
  • Hold TimeCap liable for non-refunded payments
  • Seek legal action for refund-related claims

By using TimeCap and submitting a payment, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read and understood this Refund Policy in its entirety
  • You understand that all payments are final and irreversible
  • You accept that no refunds will be issued under any circumstances
  • You will not attempt to dispute, chargeback, or reverse transactions
  • You bear full responsibility for verifying all transaction details
